Delays & tickers (timers)

#delay: run a command once, later

#delay {seconds} {command}

If the first word is a number or a duration, such as 120, 1.5, 2m, 30s or 1h, that is the wait. Everything after it is the command.

  • A named delay is #delay {name} {command} {seconds}, used when the first word isn't a duration. Cancel it with #undelay {name}.
  • #undelayall cancels every pending delay.
  • #delay on its own lists pending delays, with readable times such as 23m 20s.
#delay 120 le 15              wait 120s, then run le 15
#delay 1.5 cast 'heal' me
#delay 2m look
#delay 30s drink potion
#delay 1h #showme hourly
#delay {tick} {#showme tick} {3}    a named delay
#undelay {tick}
#undelayall
#delay                        list pending delays

#ticker: repeat a command on a timer

#ticker {name} {command} {seconds}

#tick also works. The ticker keeps firing until you cancel it or disconnect.

  • #ticker lists your tickers.
  • #unticker {name} cancels one. #untick also works.
  • #untickerall cancels every ticker. Delays are left alone.
#ticker {pulse} {#showme tick} {30}
#ticker {heal} {cast 'heal' me} {45}
#tick {scan} {look} {10}
#ticker {food} {eat bread} {90}
#ticker                       list tickers
#unticker {scan}
#untickerall

Delays and tickers belong to their tab, and they stop when you disconnect.

#N: repeat a command now

#10 say hello sends the line ten times. #3 {get coin;put coin bag} repeats a group. A direction works as a speedwalk: #7 e.

  • The limit is 200.
  • More than 20 repeats typed on the command line are paced, 100 ms apart by default. You can change the pacing in Settings.
  • #repeat stop cancels a paced repeat, and #repeat status shows what's left.
