The short version: Octet and other PWR Industries apps don’t collect any data about you.
This policy covers Octet, every other app published by PWR Industries LLC, and this website.

Nothing. Our apps don’t collect, store, sell, or share personal information.
There are no accounts or sign-ins, no analytics or tracking, no advertising, and no crash reporting
that sends data to us.
What Octet does on your Mac
Files: Octet only reads and writes files inside the folders you choose (your TFTP folder and,
if you export the log, your log folder). It remembers those folders on your Mac so it can reach them next time.
Network: Octet answers TFTP requests from devices on your own network, such as switches,
routers and firewalls. Files move directly between those devices and your Mac. They never pass through PWR Industries.
Settings and the transfer log stay on your Mac. The log is only saved to a file when you click Export.
Mac App Store version: it makes no outgoing internet connections. The version downloaded from this website
checks GitHub at most once a day to see whether a newer version is available. That check sends no personal information; GitHub sees only a standard web request.
Crash reports: if you choose to share crash data with app developers in macOS settings, Apple may pass anonymous crash reports to us. You can turn this off at any time.
Page counts: we use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count page views. It doesn’t use cookies,
doesn’t track you across sites, and doesn’t identify individual visitors.
Contact form: if you send us a message, we receive the name, email address and message you enter,
and use them only to reply to you. The form is delivered by Web3Forms.
Downloads: when you click a download link, we record the date, the version and your approximate country and state or region, and nothing else. We don’t record your IP address or any personal information. The file itself is served by GitHub, which may keep standard server logs.
We don’t sell or share information with advertisers.
