ConfigSmith Privacy Policy

Nothing. ConfigSmith has no accounts, analytics, telemetry, crash reporting, advertising, or tracking. It makes no network connections. The app is sandboxed and does not request network access.

• Site profiles and settings: saved locally in the app’s own sandboxed storage on your Mac.
• Secrets: passwords and keys you save in a profile (enable secret, local users, SNMPv3, TACACS+, SFTP and NTP keys) are stored in the macOS Keychain. They are never written to logs.
• Imported configs: only files you choose to open are read, and they stay on your Mac.
• Copy and export: secrets are left out unless you choose to include them. A copy that includes secrets is marked so clipboard managers skip it, and the clipboard is cleared automatically after about 60 seconds. Exported files go only where you save them.

We don’t receive your data, so we don’t share or sell it.

Deleting a profile in ConfigSmith removes its Keychain items. Uninstalling the app and removing its container in ~/Library/Containers removes everything else.

If you choose to submit a bug report on pwr.industries, the information you enter is handled under the pwr.industries website privacy terms. It is not collected by the app.

ConfigSmith is a professional network tool and is not directed at children.

If this policy changes, we’ll update the effective date above and publish the new version on pwr.industries.
